Audioboom Reports Growth In Users, Content Partners In Third Quarter

LONDON (Alliance News) - Audioboom Group PLC Thursday reported continued growth in its number of registered users and content partners in its third quarter to end-August.

LONDON (Alliance News) - Audioboom Group PLC Thursday reported continued growth in its number of registered users and content partners in its third quarter to end-August.

Audioboom operates a digital audio platform, and uses its number of content partners, registered users, and downloads of its application as its key performance indicators.

In the quarter, it added 766 new content channels, taking its total to over 6,000, including new content partners such as Associated Press, NBA Podcasts, News International, and Newcastle United and West Ham United football clubs.

Some 300,000 new registered users signed up during the quarter, taking Audioboom's total to over 4.3 million at the end of August. It noted that many of the registered users were added organically, as it reduced its marketing spend and focused its resources instead on the expansion of its business-to-business platform.

The company saw over 870,000 total mobile application installations in the quarter across both Android and iOS devices.

Audioboom expects to add the number of 'listens' as a key performance indicator in its next financial year as this is the sole driver of advertising revenue. Total listens for the quarter were over 85 million, it said.

Shares in Audioboom were trading flat at 5.25 pence Thursday morning.
